Lakhimpur: Now a satellite will be used for sugarcane survey. Gulariya sugar mill in Uttar Pradesh claimed that for the first time in India, a survey of sugarcane is taking place from here.
A Kerala based company is helping the mill to conduct a survey. The company officials recently showed demonstration to the mill.
The mill has entered into a contract with Geo Trans Technology company, which has set up the machinery in the mill premises.
According to mill administration, it will help in conducting a survey of the sugarcane cultivated in the mill area and to understand the health of the crop. It will also assist in figuring out the area under cultivation and the quality of cane available for crushing.
