Sugar mill clears pending cane dues

Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh: Sathiaon sugar mill has cleared pending cane dues around Rs 96 crore to 16,296 sugarcane farmers, reports Live Hindustan.

With this, the sugar mill has cleared around 100 per cent of the cane bills of the farmers for the 2022-23 crushing season. The crushing season had begun on 25 November 2022 and the mill operated till 13 March 2023. During this period the mill had crushed 28,41,000 quintals of sugarcane supplied by the farmers.

Anil Kumar Chaturvedi, chief manager of the sugar mill said that the mill will be clearing cane dues of farmers whose payment is due owing to some technical issues. The payment will be cleared once these issues are resolved, he said.
