Bithan, Bihar: Sugarcane farmers under the leadership of Bihar Kisan Sabha will launch a state-wide agitation on July 20 for their several demands, said the leader of the organisation Ramsinghasan Yadav, reports Live Hindustan.
The decision was taken in a meeting organised by the association at Bithan under the leadership of Yadav. During the meeting district minister Satyanarayan Singh said that the situation of farmers has been worsening due to the bad policies of the government. Farmers are not getting their cane dues in time and are unable to clear the loans they borrowed for crop cultivation, he said.
It was decided that the farmers would launch a state-wide agitation on July 20 in front of the sugar mill managers for their various demands.
