Mandya: MySugar sugar mill has so far crushed 30,000 tonnes of sugarcane, said Agriculture Minister Chaluvarayaswamy, reports The Times of India.
The mill was crushing 1500 tonnes of cane per day when it began operations and we are increasing its capacity step by step, he said.
He inspected the operations at the mill on Saturday as it faced challenges due to disruption in power supply and water shortage.
“The sugar mill is being operated as per the wishes of farmers and the public. We will not let the mill stop operations. The mill is clearing cane dues of farmers in time,” he said.
The mill is producing two good grades of sugar S30 and M30 which are in demand in the market, he said.
