Aligarh: The financial condition of around 200 workers associated with Satha Sugar mill is worsening day-by-day as they have not received salaries for the last five months. They are unable to feed their families, nor able to pay school fees of their children.
The workers under the leadership of advocate Shailesh Rawat is trying to find out ways to come out of this crisis.
The delegation of workers met district magistrate and explained their suffering. The DM, however, expressed inability to help them in this case.
“The workers are not able to meet daily needs as their hard earned money is pending with the mill. The officers should think over their demand,” said Rawat.
The workers later met former Mayor candidate Prateek Choudhari, who assured them that he will look into the matter and will speak with Divisional commissioner, Aligarh in this regard.
The workers have stated that they will meet the divisional commissioner.
