Muzaffarnagar: Four sugar mills in the district have embarked on the production of B-heavy molasses for ethanol manufacturing, reports Amar Ujala.
During this session, these mills have collectively produced 2.871 million quintals of B-heavy molasses, a important raw material in ethanol production.
Initiating the production of B-Heavy molasses for the first time this session, these sugar mills have expanded their operations into this endeavor.
Anticipating a surge in ethanol production in the forthcoming session, it is expected that the quantity of ethanol manufactured within the district will increase. Mills that were previously not engaged in this process may also potentially initiate their production.
Sanjay Sisodiya, the District Sugarcane Officer, highlighted the substantial contribution of revenue from these sugar mills. The demand for ethanol is on the rise across the country, therefore there is demand of it.
