Sugar mills asked to complete repair work before new crushing season

Muzaffarnagar: Pranay Singh, the Nodal Officer of the Cane Department in Muzaffarnagar, inspected the Morna sugar mill on Wednesday and asked all sugar mills in the region to complete their repair work before the start of the crushing season, reported Amar Ujala.

Singh said that the crushing season is expected to start on time and that all sugar mills should be prepared to start operations. He also directed the sugar mills to ensure that the repair work is done to the highest standards so that there are no disruptions during the crushing season.

During his inspection, Singh also interacted with the farmers who were bringing their sugarcane to the mill. He urged the farmers to sow new sugarcane varieties and to adopt modern scientific techniques for cultivation. He also advised them to use the farm machinery banks that have been set up in the sugarcane committees.

The inspection of the Morna sugar mill by Singh is a clear indication that the state government is taking steps to ensure a smooth crushing season.
