Kopargaon: Karmaveer Shankarrao Kale sugar mill has started the preparation to start cane crushing operations for the 2023-24 season, reported Newsseva.in.
The inauguration of the mill’s Roller Poojan was done by former MLA Ashok Kale and chairman of the sugar mill MLA Ashutosh Kale.
Addressing the gathering, Ashutosh Kale said, “We have increased the crushing capacity of the mill using modern technology and setting up a new boiler. This will help us in increasing the crushing capacity of the sugar mill.”
The area under cane cultivation of the sugar mill has received scanty rainfall and it is expected that the retreating monsoon will help in recovering the shortage of water in the region.
