During the first phase of campus recruitment drive conducted by the institute, 90 students got employment in reputed machinery manufacturing, sugar and alcohol companies. Thus, almost 40% of the students available for recruitments got jobs in first phase itself, informed Shri Shailendra Trivedi, Placement Officer.
We started the first phase on 6th September 2023 during which reputed companies like Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd., Mawana Sugar Works, EID Parry Ltd, Wave Sugar Industries Ltd, ISGEC Ltd, Chandigarh Distillers and Bottlers Ltd, Magadh Sugar and Energy Ltd and ADS Spirit etc. recruited the students from Alcohol Technology, Sugar Technology, Sugar Engineering, Quality Control and Sugar Boiling courses said Shri Trivedi.
The salaries offered for the Post Graduate Diploma Courses are Rs. 4-6 Lakhs per annum. In addition to it, the sugar and alcohol units shall provide free housing facilities and various other benefits as per company rules, making the overall package attractive, said Shri Ashok Garg, Education In-charge.
This year also institute has remained the first choice of sugar and alcohol companies and we started receiving requests from campus interviews with the onset of academic session. During the second phase, many other reputed companies e.g. Radico Khaitan Ltd., DCM Shriram Ltd., Dalmia Bharat Sugar Industries Ltd. and Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd. etc. shall conduct campus recruitments, said Prof. Narendra Mohan, Director, National Sugar Institute, Kanpur.
