Krishi Vigyan Kendra organizes field day to educate sugarcane farmers

Hapur: As part of the ongoing IIAL project at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Hapur, a one-day field day was organized in the village of Sikheda on September 22. The event provided extensive information on the identification of various pests in sugarcane and rice crops, as well as the correct use of pesticides, reported Live Hindustan.

Dr. Arvind Kumar, the Center’s Officer-in-Charge, provided detailed information on the identification of various pests in sugarcane and rice crops, as well as the proper use of pesticides.

Dr. Amit Tomar from IIAL Company, New Delhi, offered farmers in-depth information about soil health management and explained how an increase in the number of microorganisms in the soil leads to higher crop yields.

Dr. Neelam Kumari, a female scientist at the center, provided detailed information on the process of forming farmer-producer organizations.
