Mumbai: The Indian equity benchmarks ended lower following weak global cues and widespread selling.
Sensex ended 316.30 points lower at 65,512.10, whereas Nifty concluded 109.55 points down at 19,528.75.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 320.09 points higher at 65,828.41, whereas Nifty concluded 114.75 points up at 19,638.30.
ONGC, Eicher Motors, Hindalco Industries, Maruti Suzuki and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories were among the top losers on the Nifty, whereas the gainers included Titan Company, Bajaj Finance, L&T, Bajaj Finserv and Adani Ports.
