Mumbai: The benchmark indices ended lower in the volatile session on October 12.
Sensex ended 64.66 points lower at 66,408.39, whereas Nifty concluded 17 points down at 19,783.85.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 393.69 points higher at 66,473.05, whereas Nifty concluded 121.50 points up at 19,811.35.
Top gainers on the Nifty included BPCL, Coal India, Maruti Suzuki, Grasim Industries and Power Grid Corporation, while losers were Tech Mahindra, Apollo Hospitals, TCS, HCL Technologies and Infosys.
