Shree Vadodara District Co-Op Sugarcane Growers is mulling to set up an ethanol distillery facility in Gandhara, located in the Vadodara district of Gujarat, reported Projects Today. This facility will be primarily focused on producing ethanol from cane juice and molasses.
The proposed project will have a production capacity of 45 klpd, and will also include a two MW co-generation power plant. The State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Gujarat granted environmental clearance (EC).
As per media report, work on the project is anticipated to begin in Q3/FY24, with completion scheduled for October 2024. The appointment of a contractor and consultant for the project is still pending.
