Gandhinagar (Gujarat): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday inaugurated the IFFCO Nano DAP Plant in Gandhinagar’s Kalol and urged farmers to increase natural farming and reduce the usage of urea.
On the occasion, Amit Shah said,” I would like to convey my heartiest congratulations to the IFFCO team. The need of the hour is to increase natural farming and reduce the use of urea.”
Emphasizing the utility of Nano DAP fertilizer, Amit Shah said, “Solid urea and solid DAP contain metal parts that are also found in grains. Nano DAP has zero metal parts. There should be promotion in the usage of Nano DAP and a special focus on its production is being put in place.”
IFFCO chairman Dilip Sanghani said this plant will benefit the farmers in the country.
Earlier in August Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah performed the Bhumi Pujan and laid the foundation stone of the IFFCO Nano DAP (Liquid) Plant at Gandhidham in Gujarat, today.
Amit Shah said that the upcoming plant at Gandhidham would produce more than IFFCO’s existing plant producing 3 million tonnes of DAP.
Union Minister of Cooperation Shah said that liquid fertilizer is going to give multi-dimensional benefits to the country’s economy and agriculture sector.
“Spraying of Nano DAP (liquid) will not pollute the land, which will further ease natural farming, increase soil fertility along agricultural production, and will promote land conservation,” he said.
