More green hydrogen buses to be launched in Delhi by Dec 15

Hardeep Singh Puri, the Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas announced that a significant expansion of green hydrogen-powered buses is set to take place in Delhi by December 15, reported CNBCTV18.

This development represents a major stride towards establishing environmentally friendly public transportation in the capital city.

Minister Puri, addressing the launch of India’s inaugural reference fuel, expressed his optimism regarding the country’s transition to green energy. He also set forth ambitious objectives for India’s sustainable future. “The target of achieving a green energy transition by 2047 is attainable, and we may even reach this milestone ahead of schedule,” he stated, underscoring India’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions and embracing renewable energy sources.

Puri emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts to explore and expand green energy sources nationwide, with a promise to share the results of these exploration initiatives with the public shortly.

One of the notable successes highlighted during the event was the significant increase in domestic biofuel production. Minister Puri stated, “We have successfully amplified domestic biofuel production, bringing us closer to our green energy objectives.”
