Domestic sugar prices reported to be stable
Sugar prices in the major domestic markets have been reported to be stable for the second session. Demand is said to be low at these prices. Buyers prefer hand to mouth because prices are expected to remain low during the current crushing season.
In Kolhapur, S-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,580 and Rs 3,640 per quintal, while M-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,900 and Rs 3,950. According to Agrimandi, S grade sugar will trade in Kolhapur markets for between Rs 3,600 and Rs 3,720 over the next two weeks.
