Dwarikesh Sugar shifts producing ethanol from B heavy molasses

Following the government’s immediate directive to all sugar mills and distilleries, instructing them not to utilize sugarcane juice/sugar syrup for ethanol production, Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Limited has shifted its ethanol production to other feedstock.

According to reports, both distilleries located in Bundki (Dwarikesh Nagar) unit and Faridpur (Dwarikesh Dham) unit have halted the use of sugarcane juice/syrup as feedstock for ethanol production. Given the permission to produce ethanol from B heavy molasses, the company promptly transitioned to using B heavy molasses as the feedstock for ethanol production.

The company has already established the necessary infrastructure for this transition at both of its mentioned units.
