Moradabad: Uttar Pradesh Sugarcane Minister Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary on Friday stressed the need for timely payment to sugarcane farmers, reported Live Hindustan.
Rana was addressing a meeting of sugarcane officials in Moradabad district. He said that the state government has taken several steps to improve the welfare of sugarcane farmers, including increasing the cane price and making timely payments.
The minister also said that the state government is committed to providing all the benefits of government schemes to sugarcane farmers. He urged the officials to continue to run awareness campaigns to educate farmers about these schemes.
District Cane Officer Ram Kishan and other officials were present at the meeting.
