Shillong: The 01 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) successfully intercepted a pick-up van transporting sugar bags intended for smuggling into Bangladesh, reported The Times of India.
The incident occurred near the Rongra bordering area in the South Garo Hills district of Meghalaya on Saturday. Four individuals, including a Bangladesh national, were apprehended in the operation.

Preliminary investigations have identified one of the detained individuals as Mohammed Shamim, hailing from Gobindpur in the Netrakona district of Bangladesh. The remaining three accused are Indian nationals, according to information provided by the BSF.
