BSF foils smuggling attempts, seizes over 10,000 kgs of sugar

Shillong: In a coordinated set of operations carried out on Wednesday, the Border Security Force (BSF) in Meghalaya successfully confiscated over 10,000 kilograms of sugar intended for illicit transportation to Bangladesh through various bordering districts, reported The Times of India.

A single individual was apprehended about the case.

In a separate operation, BSF personnel identified three vehicles raising suspicions in the East Khasi district. Upon interception, one of the vehicles was found to be laden with sugar. The BSF promptly detained all four occupants of the intercepted vehicle.
