Kaiserganj: Farmers urged to supply clean and fresh sugarcane for crushing

Kaiserganj: The Associate Chief Cane Manager of the Parle Sugar Mill, Sanjeev Rathi, conducted inspections of sugarcane cutting and loading in the villages of Salemapur Dokari, Khairabazar Pratham, Dvitiya, Tritiya, Chandanapur, Khojkipur, Bijouwa, and Ramgarhi. During the inspection, he emphasized the need to cut sugarcane at ground level and use dried sugarcane leaves for tying bundles. He stressed the importance of supplying clean, fresh, rootless, and leaf-free sugarcane, reported Live Hindustan.

Rathi suggested that farmers should send sugarcane to the mill gates and purchase centers according to the specified gross weight for tractors and bullock carts. He advised securing the seeds of new varieties for the upcoming sugarcane planting season.

He highlighted that the selection of good varieties is crucial for optimal production, and farmers should ensure that the supply of all sugarcane is registered in their names to facilitate continuous improvements in the basic quota. Rathi also stressed the importance of completing the sugarcane supply by the end of the season, cautioning against hasty deliveries.
