Pune, May 21 (UNI) During next 2-3 days, conditions are favourable for further advancement of southwest monsoon into some more parts of south Bay of Bengal, north Andaman Sea, and Andaman Islands.
Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, Kerala and in remaining parts of madhya Maharashtra and were markedly above normal in some parts Bihar,madhya Maharashtra, and north interior Karnataka.
.The highest maximum temperature recorded over the plains was 45.6 degrees celsius in Chandrapur of Vidarbha in Maharashtra.
Heat waves swept across isolated places in madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, and north interior Karnataka.Thunderstorm along with gusty winds very likely at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur.
Duststorm or thunderstorm along with gusty winds with speed reaching up to 30-40kmph likely at isolated places in Punjab and west Rajasthan during next 24 hours.
Also Heat waves very likely to sweep across isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, and north interior Karnataka.
Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
