Rajasthan Finance Minister Diya Kumari presented an interim budget in the state assembly on Thursday, focusing on measures to revive the state’s economy and provide relief to farmers and traders.
One of the key announcements in the budget was the abolition of the mandi tax on sugar and jaggery. This move is expected to benefit both farmers and traders in the state.
The budget also included a provision of ₹125 per quintal bonus on wheat for farmers, which will entail an expenditure of ₹250 crore. Additionally, the state government announced plans to promote drone technology in agriculture.
