Maharashtra, Telangana simmer at 46.3 degrees Celsius

Pune, May 24 (UNI) During next 48 hours, conditions are favorable for further advancement of southwest monsoon into some more parts of south Bay of Bengal, north Andaman Sea, and Andaman Islands.

Day temperatures were above normal in some parts of Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat State, Telangana, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and in remaining parts of Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka.

Day temperatures were below normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal and Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and in remaining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh. Day temperatures were normal over the rest of the country.

The highest maximum temperature recorded over the plains was 46.3 degrees Celsius at Bramhapuri and Adilabad of Maharashtra and Telangana, respectively.

Heavy to very heavy rainfalls very likely to lash at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and south interior Karnataka.
