The pact, inked by Ajmer Singh Dhatt, Director of Research at PAU, and Ripudaman Singh, grants non-exclusive rights to the company for the said technology. Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, the Vice-Chancellor, has acknowledged the collaborative efforts of Poonam A Sachdev, Principal Food Technologist, and the Principal Investigator of the technology, in disseminating it among the farming community of Punjab.

Dhatt commended Dr. Sachdev and the stakeholder, Ripudaman, for their joint efforts in bringing this technology to the commercial forefront and facilitating the global export of the product. Dr. Sachdev elucidated, “Sugarcane juice undergoes thermal processing to eliminate microorganisms and extend its shelf life. The technology behind shelf-stable and ready-to-serve bottled sugarcane juice results in a wholesome and hygienic product, devoid of chemical preservatives, synthetic flavor, color, and additives. It stands as an industrially accepted technology.”
