India Glycols Ltd, a leading green chemical company, has completed its capacity expansion at the Kashipur bio-ethanol plant.
In its regulatory filing, the company said that it has successfully added further capacity of 270 KLPD to the existing Bio-Fuel Ethanol plant (Ethanol to Bio-Fuel conversion) at Kashipur (Uttarakhand).
“Accordingly, the enhanced capacity of Bio-Fuel Ethanol plant (Ethanol to Bio-Fuel conversion) at Kashipur (Uttarakhand) now stands at 410 KLPD and is fully commissioned,” it further added.
The Indian government is ramping up efforts to boost ethanol production within the country, urging producers to expand their capacities. This move aligns with India’s ongoing push towards reducing reliance on fossil fuels and promoting cleaner energy alternatives.
