Shillong: Border Security Force (BSF) troops in Meghalaya effectively halted smuggling activities along the international border on Tuesday, confiscating the sugar.
BSF Meghalaya in a post on x (Formerly Twitter) said, “On 19 March 2024, Seema Praharis of BSF Meghalaya conducted various operations against trans-border smugglers, seizing 350 bottles of prohibited cough syrup Phensedyl and a large quantity of sugar intended for smuggling to #Bangladesh from the International border of Meghalaya.”
