Sugar prices in Zimbabwe are going crazy high. A small bag of sugar now costs US$4.00 per 2kg, which is way too expensive for most people, reported local media.
This means many Zimbabweans can’t afford sugar anymore and might have to drink their tea plain.
Shopkeepers say there isn’t enough sugar to go around, and the companies selling sugar to shops keep raising their prices. Last week a box of 10X 2kg sugar cost US$29.00, but by Saturday it went up to US$33.00!
