Indian benchmark indices ended lower on April 12.
Sensex ended 793.25 points lower at 74,244.90, whereas Nifty concluded 234.40 points down at 22,519.40.
Biggest losers on the Nifty were Sun Pharma, Maruti Suzuki, Power Grid Corporation, Titan Company and ONGC, while gainers included Divis Labs, Tata Consumer Products, Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors and TCS.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 354.45 points higher at 75,038.15, whereas Nifty concluded 111.05 points up at 22,753.80.
