Indian engineers to identify flaws in Fiji’s sugar mills and develop repair plans

Engineers from India have arrived in Fiji to assist with the country’s sugar mills. They will identify flaws in the sugar mills and develop repair plans.

Sugar Minister Charan Jeath Singh said the allocated budget is less expensive compared to the usual cost of engineering services.

“The engineers will be here for the next ten days,” Ministers aid. “They’ll be thoroughly examining the equipment and machinery to provide a detailed report outlining the necessary actions for each sugar mill. This will ensure we’re fully prepared for the upcoming crushing season.”

“This will help us increase production of sugar,” he further added.
