According to government agency Conab, Brazil’s sugarcane production reached a historic high of 713.2 million metric tons in the recently concluded 2023/24 crop year.
In the new survey, the agency raised its estimate for the harvest compared to the 677.6 million tons forecast in November last year.
Brazil’s sugar production for 2023/24 was projected at a record 45.68 million tons, slightly lower than the previous forecast of 46.88 million tons.
