The sugarcane crushing season in Uttar Pradesh is in its final phase and is expected to conclude soon.
According to the Sugarcane Department, the crushing season for 2023-24 in Uttar Pradesh is efficiently going on. Currently, crushing operations are ongoing at 23 sugar mills across the state.
So far, over 9,701 lakh quintals of sugarcane have been crushed in the state, resulting in the production of 1,027 lakh quintals (102.7 lakh tonnes) of sugar. Due to the uninterrupted sugarcane supply, farmers can clear their fields on time.
