Domestic sugar prices were stable
Domestic sugar prices in the major markets were reported to be stable following a sharp increase in the previous session. Demand is expected to be strong as the market anticipates that the MSP for sugar will be increased following the elections.
In Muzaffarnagar, M-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,940 and Rs 3,960 per quintal, and S-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,620 and Rs 3,640 per quintal. Agrimandi expects the price of S grade sugar in the Kolhapur market to fall to between Rs 3,520 and Rs 3,660 per quintal within the next two weeks.
