Domestic sugar prices traded steady to higher
Domestic sugar prices in the major markets were reported to be stable or higher. Prices rose by Rs 20 per quintal in Maharashtra, while sentiment remained stable in Uttar Pradesh. There were reports of strong buying in Maharashtra, which supported prices.
In Muzaffarnagar, M-grade sugar costs Rs 3,910 to Rs 3,930 per quintal, while S-grade sugar costs Rs 3,610 to Rs 3,640. Agrimandi anticipates that the price of S grade sugar in the Kolhapur market will fall to between Rs 3,520 and Rs 3,660 per quintal within the next two weeks.
