Domestic sugar prices traded lower
Domestic sugar prices in the major markets were reported to be weak due to low demand at current prices. Prices have fallen by Rs 10-20 per quintal across the markets. Furthermore, lower temperatures due to rainfall activity and the early end of the wedding season are weighing on demand, affecting prices.
In Muzaffarnagar, M-grade sugar cost between Rs 3,890 and Rs 3,910 per quintal, while S-grade sugar cost between Rs 3,610 and Rs 3,640. Agrimandi expects the price of S grade sugar in the Kolhapur market to fall to between Rs 3,540 and Rs 3,660 per quintal within the next two weeks.
