Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices were reported steady
Domestic sugar prices in the major markets were reported steady due to low demand at current prices. According to local sources, demand is subdued which is weighing on the prices. Furthermore, lower temperatures due to rainfall activity and the early end of the wedding season are also weighing on demand, which are affecting prices.
In Muzaffarnagar, M-grade sugar ranged between Rs 3,890 and Rs 3,910 per quintal, while S-grade sugar ranged between Rs 3,610 and Rs 3,640. Agrimandi expects the price of S grade sugar in the Kolhapur market to fall to between Rs 3,540 and Rs 3,660 per quintal within the next two weeks.
