Government asks sugar mills and distilleries to submit complete data

Department of Food and Public Distribution (DFPD) has asked for data from sugar mills and distilleries to make better policy decisions.

In a communication with CEOs/MDs, DFPD said, “In order to take better policy decision this Directorate is collecting the data of sugar mill and distillery for the purpose of preparing comprehensive data regarding sugar mill and distillery in terms of (both attached with sugar mill and standalone) its production capacity, Products/Byproducts manufactured, Co-generation and data regarding benefit of ethanol interest subvention scheme, if applicable.”

Sugar mills and distilleries are asked to provide complete data in the prescribed proforma as annexed at Annexure (Click below link) for all units individually in case of group sugar mill/distillery by 31st May, 2024. The information may be emailed to cdsugar.fpd@nic.in, sostat.dsvo@gov.in and ethanol.fpd@gov.in.

The DFPD has also asked industry bodies like ISMA, NFCSF, AIDA, and GEMA to advise their member sugar mills and distilleries to provide complete data on time.
