Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh: The Secretary of the Ganna Vikas Samiti, Najibabad, Dr Vijay Kumar Shukla, organised a surprise inspection of the ongoing cane survey work in village Rampur Banwari, associated with sugar mill. During the inspection, he was accompanied by surveyor Bijendra Singh and farmer Jaswinder Singh, reported Live Hindustan.
Shukla appealed to the sugarcane farmers to cooperate with the survey teams and ensure that their sugarcane fields are surveyed properly. He put force on the importance of being present on the field during the survey to avoid any future problems.
He also advised farmers to remain vigilant against the outbreak of the top borer pest and to use appropriate pesticides regularly. The society’s Farm Machinery Bank provides power sprayers to farmers on rent for this purpose.
