Meerut: The Mohiuddinpur sugar mill of the Uttar Pradesh State Sugar Corporation Limited has paid a due amount of Rs 16 crores for the sugarcane purchased until March 22nd, on Monday, reported Live Hindustan.
This information was provided by the Mill’s General Manager, Kumar Dharmendra. He mentioned that due to the high-quality sugarcane provided by the farmers and the better efficiency of the mill, the sugar recovery rate has increased this time. As a result, there has been consistency in the payment of sugarcane prices this year. Clearing the outstanding dues for the purchased sugarcane is a top priority for the mill. Payment for the remaining cane of the entire crushing season will also be made soon.
