Amroha, Uttar Pradesh: DCO Manoj Kumar reviewed the payments of the sugarcane dues for the 2023-24 crushing season at the Dhanaura sugar mill on Wednesday. Mill has failed to clear full cane payment till date, reported Live Hindustan.
The mill management has provided a work plan to ensure 100 per cent payment by June 30. He instructed the management to complete the payments within two weeks.
He also directed the Sugarcane Committee Secretary to assess the interest on the outstanding sugarcane price and send the interest bills to the mill for payment. It was mentioned that a notice has been issued to the mill management from the DM level regarding this matter. If payments are not made on time, the purchase centres allocated to the sugar mill for the 2024-25 crushing season will be reassigned to other sugar mills.
