Live water storage data in reservoirs as of June 6, 2024

According to CWC’s water reservoir bulletin dated 6th June 2024, water storage in the 150 reservoirs across the country is 39.765 BCM. Last year the live storage available in these reservoirs for the corresponding period was 50.549 BCM. Therefore, the water shortfall in the reservoirs continues for yet another week in comparison to last year.

In the Northern region, water available in the reservoirs is 5.888 BCM which is 30% of the total live storage capacity of these reservoirs. The storage during the corresponding period of last year was 39%.

In the Eastern region, water available in the reservoirs is 5.035 BCM which is 24.6% of the total live storage capacity of these reservoirs. The storage during the corresponding period of last year was 21%.

In the Western region, water available in reservoirs is 8.359 BCM which is 23 % of the total live storage capacity of these reservoirs. The storage during the corresponding period of last year was 25%.

In the Central region, water available in reservoirs is 13.369 BCM which is 27.7% of the total live storage capacity of these reservoirs. The storage during the corresponding period of last year was 35%.

In the Southern region, water available in the reservoirs is 7.114 BCM which is 13% of the total live storage capacity of these reservoirs. The storage during the corresponding period of last year was 23%.
