Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to continue over Maharashtra today and Karnataka till June 12: IMD

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday said that heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to continue over Maharashtra & Goa on 11th June and over Karnataka, Kerala & Telangana on 11th& 12th June and decrease thereafter.

“Isolated extremely heavy rainfall is very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and very heavy rainfall over Assam & Meghalaya during next 3-4 days,” IMD posted on X.

IMD further forecasted that heat wave to severe heat wave conditions are likely to continue over parts of Northwest & East India during next 5 days. Heatwave to severe heatwave conditions very likely in few parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and heatwave conditions very likely in few parts of Uttarakhand, isolated pockets of Jammu Division, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh- Delhi, Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh and Odisha on 12th June, 2024.
