The equity benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty experienced a mixed close on June 19.
Sensex ended 36.45 points up at 77,337.59, whereas Nifty concluded 41.90 points lower at 23,516.
Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Tech Mahindra were the major gainers. Titan Company, Larsen & Toubro, Bharti Airtel, Maruti Suzuki India, NTPC and Reliance Industries were the biggest laggards.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 308.37 points up at 77,301.14, whereas Nifty concluded 92.30 points higher at 23,557.90.
