Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty closed at fresh record highs on June 27, taking the bull run to the fourth consecutive day on the day of monthly F&O expiry. Today Sensex breached the 79,000 mark, Nifty crossed 24,000 for the first time.
Sensex ended 568.93 points up at 79,243.18, whereas Nifty concluded 175.70 points up at 24,044.50.
UltraTech Cement, Grasim Industries, LTIMindtree, Wipro and NTPC were among the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Shriram Finance, L&T, Eicher Motors, Bajaj Auto and Divis Lab.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 620.73 points up at 78,674.25, whereas Nifty concluded 147.50 points up at 23,868.80.
