Indian benchmark indices ended flat in the volatile session on July 8.
Sensex ended 36.22 points lower at 79,960.38, whereas Nifty concluded 3.30 points lower at 24,320.55.
Top Nifty gainers were ONGC, ITC, HDFC Life, HUL and Tata Consumer Products, while losers were Divis Labs, Titan Company, BPCL, Shriram Finance and Adani Ports.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 53.07 points lower at 79,996.60, whereas Nifty concluded 21.70 points higher at 24,323.85.
