BPCL’s Integrated 1G & 2G Bio-Ethanol refinery project is in final stages of construction

BPCL’s ambitious Integrated 1G & 2G Bio-Ethanol refinery project at Bargarh is set to be the first integrated ethanol plant contributing to the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative in biofuel.

A delegation from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) recently visited the refinery, which is now in its final stages of construction. This pioneering project will deliver a throughput of 100 Kl/day (each for 1G & 2G).

During their visit, the delegation, including Shyam Lal, Senior Statistical Officer MoPNG; Kishor Kumar Sahu, Technical Officer MoPNG; and BK Tripathy, Technical Officer MoPNG, praised the progress made. Their feedback was constructive and motivated the team to expedite project completion. A tree plantation ceremony was held for the dignitaries, followed by a thorough site inspection of various units within the 2G Bio-Ethanol refinery.

BPCL remains dedicated to delivering the project with high quality and within the scheduled timeline, advancing their mission to promote sustainable energy solutions for the nation.
