Sensex, Nifty close marginally higher

Indian equity indices ended marginally higher on July 16.

Sensex ended 51.69 points higher at 80,716.55, whereas Nifty concluded 26.30 points up at 24,613.00.

Top Nifty gainers were Coal India, BPCL, HUL, Tata Consumer Products and Bharti Airtel, while losers were Shriram Finance, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Kotak Mahindra Bank, UltraTech Cement and Reliance Industries.

In the previous season, Sensex ended 145.52 points higher at 80,664.86, whereas Nifty concluded 84.55 points up at 24,586.70.
