The angry farmers created a disturbance, which was later calmed down by the CDO. The farmers also suggested that if the payments could not be facilitated, the officials should resign. Farmer leader Kuldeep Panwar demanded responsibility for the care of newly planted saplings. Kapil Khatian demanded a halt to electricity bill collection and recovery until the pending sugarcane payments were made.
