Domestic sugar prices continued trade higher
Domestic sugar prices across the markets were reported to be higher by Rs 10-20 per quintal. As most of the mills in Uttar Pradesh have sold the monthly quota in the beginning of the month, selling pressure is said to be less which is keeping prices higher. Prices in Uttar Pradesh reported higher by Rs 20 per quintal while in Maharashtra prices were up by Rs 10 per quintal.
S-grade sugar prices in Kolhapur range between Rs 3,570 and 3,595, while M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar trades for Rs 3,820 to 3,850. According to Agrimandi, S grade sugar in the Kolhapur market is expected to trade between Rs 3,520 and Rs 3,620 per quintal over the next two weeks.
