Haryana: Shahabad Sugar Mill to start crushing operations in November

Shahabad: The Chairman and Deputy Commissioner of Shahabad Sugar Mill, Sushil Sarwan, has stated that the mill has established a strong reputation nationwide in sugar production, ethanol, and recovery, reports Amar Ujala.

This achievement is a result of the dedication of farmers, employees, and officials. The mill is poised to set new records in the upcoming crushing season, but this requires collective hard work and honesty from everyone.

Addressing a meeting of the board of directors of the Shahabad Cooperative Sugar Mill in the mill’s auditorium on Tuesday, Sarwan highlighted the mill’s preparations. He reviewed a progress feedback report related to the mill and discussed 34 agenda items along with an additional item concerning the repair and maintenance of the sugar mill. With the board members’ consent, most agenda items were approved, and Sarwan suggested a more in-depth consideration for some items.

Sarwan announced that the crushing season is set to begin in November, and all machinery must be fully up-to-date before then. Any existing deficiencies need to be addressed promptly. He assured that officials and employees would complete the repair and maintenance work within the stipulated time frame, with a special focus on quality. Sarwan stressed that negligence from any official or employee would not be tolerated.

Managing Director Virendra Kumar stated that the government is continuously working in the interest of farmers and implementing various schemes. The Shahabad Cooperative Sugar Mill has received 29 national awards for technical efficiency in other recovery areas and four state-level awards. Kumar expressed confidence that, like previous years, the mill will set new benchmarks and achieve new heights this year. He emphasized that all officials, employees, farmers, and labourers would work together to further advance the mill’s progress.
